Description

The Sweet Promise Studs by Nuraan are a pair of 1 carat lab-grown pear-cut diamond solitaire stud earrings — one carat in each ear, two carats the pair — handcrafted in 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating. Real diamond, grown rather than mined, graded by an independent laboratory, and set to order in Karachi by Nuraan, third generation jewelers since 1947.

Product details

  • Stones: Two lab-grown diamonds, 1 carat each (2 carats total), D colour, VS1 clarity — colourless, eye-clean, and matched to each other for outline, size and cut
  • Cut: Pear (teardrop), approx. 8 × 5mm per stone — a brilliant-cut point and a rounded base, so it flashes like a round and hangs like a drop
  • Certification: Independent laboratory grading report for each stone, confirming lab-grown origin, carat weight, colour and clarity
  • Metal: 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating — white gold finish, tarnish resistant
  • Setting: 3-prong solitaire with a V-prong at the point — protects the tip, the only vulnerable part of a pear, and leaves the rest of the stone open to light
  • Backs: Sturdy posts with secure backs; the stud sits on a straight post, so the point can face up or down
  • Price: Rs. 320,000 per pair
  • Gifting: Comes in Nuraan’s signature presentation box
  • Made to order: Set by hand in Pakistan — allow 28–30 business days; the diamonds are sourced and imported to order, and we confirm the timeline when you order
  • Lifetime replating: Free rhodium replating for life on every Nuraan piece

What is a lab-grown diamond?

A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond. It is pure carbon in the same crystal structure as a mined diamond, with the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), the same brilliance, and the same grading scale — it is grown over weeks in a laboratory instead of over a billion years underground. A gemologist cannot tell the two apart by eye; only specialist equipment can. What changes is the price: a lab-grown stone costs a fraction of a mined one of the same grade, and comes with none of the mining.

Why a pear?

A pear spreads its weight along the ear rather than across it, so a one-carat pear reads longer and larger than a one-carat round — and the point gives the face a line no other shape does. Worn point-down it lengthens the neck; point-up it reads sharp and modern. Matching two pears for outline is the hardest match in the fancy cuts, because the shoulders, the belly and the point of each stone all have to agree; it is part of what you are paying for.

Why silver, and not gold?

Because the stone is the point. Two carats of D/VS1 diamond in a heavy gold setting would double the price for metal you cannot see behind the ear. Rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver gives the same white-gold look, keeps the price where the stones deserve the budget, and our lifetime replating guarantee means the finish stays white for as long as you own them. If you would prefer the same stones in gold, ask us on WhatsApp for a quote.

What makes Nuraan different?

Every pair of Sweet Promise Studs is set after your order is placed — never mass-produced, never sitting in a warehouse. The stones are matched, set and inspected by hand by third generation jewelers who have been perfecting their craft since 1947. Each stone’s laboratory report ships with the earrings, and Nuraan includes a lifetime free rhodium replating guarantee on every piece.

Care instructions

Store in the Nuraan box when not wearing. Apply perfume before putting the earrings on. Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth after wear; a diamond can also be cleaned in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush. Rhodium plating will naturally lighten with daily wear — Nuraan’s lifetime replating guarantee means this is never a concern.

Frequently asked questions

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Chemically, physically and optically they are diamond — pure carbon, 10 on the Mohs scale, graded on the same colour and clarity scale as mined stones. The only difference is origin, which is disclosed on the laboratory report.

Which way should the point face?

Either. Point-down is traditional and lengthens the face; point-up is contemporary. The stud sits on a straight post, so you can turn it whichever way you like on the day.

Is this the same as moissanite?

No. Moissanite is a different gemstone (silicon carbide) with more fire and a lower price; most of Nuraan’s range is moissanite and we say so plainly on every page. The Sweet Promise Studs are diamond. If you want the look at a fraction of the price, our Drop of Dawn pear-cut moissanite studs are the honest alternative; if you want diamond, this is it.

Do these pass a diamond tester?

Yes — they are diamond. A standard thermal tester reads them as diamond because they are; only specialist origin-testing equipment distinguishes lab-grown from mined.

What does the laboratory report show?

Carat weight, colour grade, clarity grade, cut, measurements, and confirmation that the stone is laboratory-grown. Each stone has its own report, and both ship with the earrings.

How long does delivery take in Pakistan?

Set to order in 28–30 business days — the diamonds are sourced and imported to order — then a few days with the courier. We confirm the timeline when you order. WhatsApp updates throughout. For enquiries, contact +923207906077.
