Description

The Chic Frame by Nuraan is a 1 carat lab-grown emerald-cut diamond solitaire ring, handcrafted in 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating. Real diamond, grown rather than mined, graded by an independent laboratory, and set to order in Karachi by Nuraan, third generation jewelers since 1947. A step cut on a plain band — the ring for the hand that does not need to sparkle to be noticed.

Product details

  • Stone: 1 carat lab-grown diamond, emerald cut, D–E colour, VS1–VS2 clarity — colourless and eye-clean, approx. 6.5 × 4.5mm
  • Certification: Independent laboratory grading report confirming lab-grown origin, carat weight, colour, clarity and cut, with the stone laser-inscribed to match
  • Metal: 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating — white gold finish, tarnish resistant
  • Setting: Four corner-prong solitaire on a slim polished band, the rectangle set lengthwise along the finger — the prongs frame the cropped corners and leave the whole face of the stone open to light
  • Sizes available: 16mm · 17mm · 18mm · 19mm (inner diameter)
  • Inside band: Nuraan engraved on every ring
  • Gifting: Comes in Nuraan’s signature presentation box with the laboratory report
  • Made to order: Set by hand in Pakistan — allow 28–30 business days; the diamond is sourced and imported to order, and we confirm the timeline when you order
  • Lifetime replating: Free rhodium replating for life on every Nuraan piece

Why an emerald cut?

An emerald cut does not sparkle the way a round does; it glows, in long, clean flashes off its stepped facets, like light on still water. It hides nothing — the wide flat table shows the stone’s clarity plainly — which is why it is the cut serious buyers choose when the stone is good, and why a lab-grown stone in D–E colour makes so much sense in it. The elongated rectangle makes the finger look longer, sits flat against a wedding band, and reads as tailoring rather than jewellery. Hence the name: the stone is the picture, and the four corner prongs are the frame.

What is a lab-grown diamond?

A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond. It is pure carbon in the same crystal structure as a mined diamond, with the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), the same brilliance, and the same grading scale — it is grown over weeks in a laboratory instead of over a billion years underground. A gemologist cannot tell the two apart by eye; only specialist equipment can. What changes is the price: a lab-grown stone costs a fraction of a mined one of the same grade, and comes with none of the mining.

Why silver, and not gold?

Because the stone is the point. A one-carat D-colour diamond in a heavy gold setting would add lakhs for metal that sits under the stone. Rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver gives the same white-gold look, keeps the budget in the diamond, and our lifetime replating guarantee means the finish stays white for as long as you own it. If you would prefer the same stone in gold, ask us on WhatsApp for a quote.

What makes Nuraan different?

Every Chic Frame is set after your order is placed — never mass-produced, never sitting in a warehouse. The stone is selected, set and inspected by hand by third generation jewelers who have been perfecting their craft since 1947. The laboratory report ships with the ring, and Nuraan includes a lifetime free rhodium replating guarantee on every piece.

Care instructions

Store in the Nuraan box when not wearing. Put the ring on last, after perfume and lotion. Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth; a diamond can also be cleaned in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush. Rhodium plating will naturally wear with daily use — Nuraan’s lifetime replating guarantee means this is never a concern.

Frequently asked questions

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Chemically, physically and optically they are diamond — pure carbon, 10 on the Mohs scale, graded on the same colour and clarity scale as mined stones. The only difference is origin, which is disclosed on the laboratory report.

Why does an emerald cut sparkle less than a round?

Because it is a step cut, not a brilliant cut: its facets are long parallel planes rather than small triangles, so it returns light in wide flashes instead of tiny points. It is a different kind of beauty — calmer, more architectural — and it shows off a colourless, clean stone better than any other shape.

Is this the same as moissanite?

No. Moissanite is a different gemstone (silicon carbide) with more fire and a lower price; most of Nuraan’s range is moissanite and we say so plainly on every page. The Chic Frame is diamond. If you want the look at a fraction of the price, our emerald-cut moissanite rings are the honest alternative; if you want diamond, this is it.

Does it pass a diamond tester?

Yes — it is diamond. A standard thermal tester reads it as diamond because it is; only specialist origin-testing equipment distinguishes lab-grown from mined.

How do I find my ring size?

Our sizes are the inner diameter in millimetres — measure the inside of a ring that already fits, edge to edge. 17mm is the most common size. The full guide is at zanvari.com/pages/ring-size-guide-pakistan. Because the stone is set to your order, please confirm your size carefully before ordering.

How long does delivery take in Pakistan?

Set to order in 28–30 business days for diamond pieces — the diamond is sourced and imported to order — then a few days with the courier. We confirm the timeline when you order. WhatsApp updates throughout. For enquiries, contact +923207906077.
